From Regent Street to the Toppings Bar: How Kith Treats Made Dispensing Part of the Design

Case Study  ·  Ice Cream & Frozen Desserts  ·  Interior Design  ·  London

A toppings display that shows how practical foodservice equipment can become a natural part of a refined interior

This is one of those projects that immediately caught our eye.

Kith Treats London opened on Regent Street as the brand’s first flagship in the United Kingdom. The Treats bar sits within Kith’s wider London destination, alongside Kith, Kith Women, Kith Kids, and Ronnie’s.

The space brings together Kith’s playful identity with a cleaner and more refined design language. Muted pastels, a custom fan mosaic, marble surfaces, stainless steel detailing, and the original curved entrance glazing all work together without making the space feel busy.

And within that carefully considered interior, the toppings dispensers are not hidden away. They are part of the design.

Great dispensing solutions do not compete with the design. They become part of it.

When Every Visible Detail Matters

In a customer facing food concept, every item behind the counter contributes to the atmosphere. Counters, lighting, finishes, equipment, ingredients, and presentation all shape how the space feels.

This becomes even more important in a store where the interior is closely connected to the brand. A standard piece of foodservice equipment can easily look out of place, especially beside carefully selected marble, metal, glass, and custom joinery.

The challenge is not simply to find a dispenser that works. It is to find one that can perform throughout the day while still feeling appropriate within the space.

Four Sets, Two Different Layouts

The Kith Treats installation features four sets of IDM H50 Turn & Serve dispensers, with a total of twenty clear containers used to present cereals and mix ins for the brand’s ice cream swirls and milkshakes.

Two quintuple sets are arranged in a long horizontal row, while the other two are positioned one above the other. The different layouts create visual rhythm across the wall and show how the same dispenser set can be worked into a space in more than one way.

That flexibility matters in interior projects. The equipment should adapt to the proportions and composition of the wall, rather than forcing the designer to build the space around a single fixed arrangement.

Finesse Without Losing the Fun

Dispensers are often associated with colourful, playful, and highly interactive environments. That is part of their appeal, especially in ice cream, frozen yogurt, and confectionery concepts.

But playful does not have to mean loud.

At Kith Treats London, the clear containers allow the cereals and toppings to add texture and colour, while the silver mechanisms and simple cylindrical forms sit comfortably beside the marble and stainless steel finishes. The display remains inviting, but it never takes over the interior.

The result is a toppings station that feels connected to the brand and the setting. It supports the experience without looking like a separate piece of equipment added at the end of the design process.

Functionality Behind the Finish

A strong interior still needs to work during busy service. The H50 Turn & Serve dispenser combines a clear 4.5 litre container with a simple turning mechanism, giving staff an organised way to store and dispense a wide variety of dry toppings.

  • Clear presentation: ingredients remain visible and easy to identify
  • Enclosed storage: toppings stay protected inside the containers between servings
  • Simple operation: the intuitive turning mechanism is easy to use during service
  • Wall mounted efficiency: the display uses vertical space while keeping the counter below clear
  • Flexible configurations: sets can be positioned to suit different wall proportions and design concepts
  • Commercial practicality: containers can be refilled and removed for routine cleaning

The Dispensers Behind the Kith Treats Toppings Display

The H50 is a quintuple wall mounted dispenser set from IDM’s classic Turn & Serve line. Each set includes five transparent 4.5 litre containers, giving operators a clear and organised way to display cereals, confectionery, chocolate pieces, granola, and other dry mix ins.

Its straightforward form makes it suitable for playful concepts, but also allows it to work within more restrained interiors. At Kith Treats London, the dispensers sit naturally against the marble wall and stainless steel preparation area, becoming part of the visual composition.

The Value of a Strong Local Partner

This project was supplied through our UK partner, Innerglass.

Local resellers play an important role in bringing international projects together. They understand their market, know the local hospitality and design community, and can build the relationships needed to connect the right products with the right projects.

For customers, designers, and project teams, a local partner also offers a familiar point of contact who understands the requirements of the market and can support the commercial process more closely.

For IDM, partnerships like this allow us to combine global product experience with local knowledge and connections. It is one of the reasons we continue to invest in a strong network of resellers around the world.

Special thanks to our partners at Innerglass for bringing this beautiful project to life.

Designed as Part of the Experience

Kith Treats London is a great reminder that functional equipment does not need to sit outside the design conversation.

When the shape, finish, layout, and application are considered carefully, dispensers can support the operation and still add to the overall experience. They can bring colour without clutter, create order without looking clinical, and become part of the space rather than simply occupying it.

We are always excited to see our dispensers used in projects like this, where every detail has a purpose and the final result still feels effortless.
